Q1. Where did you get your first tattoo and do
you know by who?
A. My first 2 tattoos were done on the same
day, but a friend that tattooed in his spare time, major amateur.
I was fortunate it wasn't totally messed up, but definitely a future
cover-up. I was 14 and I didn't want to wait till I was 18 for
my first tattoo, I should have waited...now I take tattooing a lot
more seriously
Q2. What was going through your mind when you got
your first tattoo?
A. I was at the school yard next to my
house on a weekend, and all I was thinking was "Geez I hope the
neighbors don't call the cops thinking I'm in trouble or
something". I didn't cry or yell, but it did look
suspicious with me not having my shirt on and some guy on top of me
for about 20 minutes.
Q3. Is there a meaning behind your first tattoo
and what is it if you care to share?
A. My first two tattoos were out of rebellion
of course...I have my first name tattooed in cursive on my back (left shoulder blade)
and a black panther crawling up my left breast. The panther was
supposed to be a tiger, but he wasn't a very good artist like I said,
so it turned out a black panther.
Q4. What is your favorite tattoo, where is it and
why?
A. Wow, that's a hard one. I don't
have one favorite. I love all of my tattoos, but if I had to say
which one gave me the most compliments it would have to be my armband
and my thigh.
Q5. What advice can you give people who are
looking to get ink for the first time?
A. Make sure it's something you really want
to get done, not just something that looked good on the wall of a
tattoo shop. Don't jump into getting one done because your in
the shop, take your time and really love the tattoo you choose.
It is permanent after all.
