Q1. Where did you get your first Tattoo and
Do you know by who?
A. I got my first Tattoo in 1969 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
with all 32 members of the University of Pittsburgh Football Team. Its a Pitt Panther on
the left butt cheek
Q2. What was going through your mind when
you got your first tattoo and how did you react weeks after it was on your body?
A. Initially I was surprised how much it
hurt lol but grew accustomed to it. I did not have any misgivings afterwards.
Q3. Is there a meaning behind your 1st Tat
and what is it if you care to share?
A. We got the tattoo of the Pitt Panther to
celebrate our winning season
Q4. What is your favorite Tattoo, where is
it and why?
A. My Favorite Tattoo is my right arm. My
Family's Coat of Arms from 1326 AD super imposed in a druid circle. It both honors my
Ancestors as well as my Celtic beliefs.
Q5. What advise can you give people who are
looking to get
ink for the first time?
A. A tattoo is for life so it needs to have
as much meaning to you in 50 years as it does today. To often I have seen people with
tattoos that are regretted later. Also choose your artist well If you take pride in your
body take pride in your art and be sure the artist can do justice to your design.
Q6. Any additional Comments?
A. By Back Piece is based on the design on
the back of a Celt warrior 1400 yrs old that was preserved in the peat bogs of Ireland. I
honor his memory and spirit by having his art as the centerpiece on my back. |
